Antica Sartoria: A Love Affair with Italian Fashion
In 2018, as I celebrated my 40th birthday in the enchanting streets of Porto Venere, Italy, I stumbled upon a fashion haven that would forever change my wardrobe – Antica Sartoria. Little did I know that a chance encounter with this Italian brand would spark an obsession, leading to a unique and cherished fashion journey.
The Discovery
Wandering through the cobblestone streets, I was drawn to the vibrant colors and intricate designs that adorned the Antica Sartoria boutique. The blend of bohemian chic and Italian craftsmanship spoke to my fashion sensibilities, and I couldn't resist indulging in a complete outfit.
Living in Style
That outfit soon became a staple in my wardrobe. The fabric draped elegantly, and the detailing was impeccable. However, there was one tiny hitch – the skirt, a one-size-fits-all wonder, had a tendency to drag due to its weight. But, no matter! I was determined to make it work.
A Touch of Brazil
To solve the dragging issue, I took my beloved skirt on a journey to Brazil. There, I added vibrant red, colorful straps that not only prevented dragging, (these straps, ingeniously serve as a belt) but also transformed the skirt into a versatile dress. Now, you might say, in Brazil, a dress like this might be considered "caipira" or reminiscent of a "festa de São João." But you know what? I don't care.
Defying Labels
Fashion should be an expression of individuality and personal style. My Antica Sartoria creation may be an unexpected fusion of Italian elegance and Brazilian flair, but to me, it's a beautiful manifestation of my love for fashion without boundaries.
The Beauty in Individuality
In a world that often tries to fit us into predefined boxes, there's something incredibly liberating about embracing the unexpected. My Antica Sartoria outfit is more than clothing; it's a statement – a celebration of beauty that transcends cultural norms.
So, here's to Antica Sartoria, the brand that sparked an obsession and gifted me a wardrobe piece that knows no boundaries. Caipira or not, it's beautiful, and I love it.
